While “North”s title felt a bit obvious, this one was much more mysterious and revealed itself only as the book ended. It was a great tie between “North! Or be Eaten” and “The Warden and the Wolf King”. This story explained so much and left so much to be explained.
I found myself cheering for characters, frustrated with some (and with myself because of the mirror placed before me in the writing), sure that everything would turn out just fine in the end, not completely surprised - but always a little disappointed - if it didn’t. It kept feeling like surely the story couldn’t continue to go on but as it did, that was all I wanted. I couldn’t wait to know what would happen with each of the characters or how Peterson would get them into and out of even more troubles. Yet again I was drawn into this story without a beat between it and it’s predecessor.
